What is Cardiac Rehab
A program, under the supervision of a cardiologist and other certified medical professionals, that focuses on improving your heart and cardiovascular health. It uses a team approach to plan for your future by incorporating heart healthy habits into your daily life. These habits will lead to a reduction in your risk from death related to diseases of the heart.
What is Involved in Cardiac Rehab
In-person visits a few times a week that include:
Exercise - special training tailored to you to improve how well your circulatory system and heart function
Education - help you learn how to manage your risk factors and prevent future heart issues. Informative and fun experiences will teach you about eating healthy, managing medicines, controlling blood pressure, and more.
Stress Management - learning to identify and manage your daily stressors. Stress plays a major role in heart health.
